The village has very important ties with the American civil war with the  Duc d' Lauzun having sent troops from here to support Lafayette.

Explore the beautiful countryside, take in the fields of sunflowers, visit the chateaux, taste the wine and enjoy the wonderful food.   In the summer there is a Table Gourmand (village dinner party) often with music just outside the front door.

 

Other neighbouring towns too have night markets where you can enjoy French food and wine and savour the ambiance of rural France.  There are markets in the town and nearby villages.
